Steuben County Democratic Chairman Shawn Hogan provides a local response

From the Democratic Party in New York,

NEW YORK – Yesterday, Donald Trump was found guilty of 34 crimes. The Republican Party nominates a convicted criminal as its presidential candidate, and Republicans in the New York House double down on their support. Although Republicans in New York claim to be pro-law, they quickly came to the defense of their boss, convicted felon Donald Trump.

The most vulnerable Republicans in the New York House of Representatives have all endorsed Donald Trump: Rep. Nick LaLota, Rep. Anthony D’Esposito, Rep. Mike Lawler, Rep. Marc Molinaro and Rep. Brandon Williams. Within minutes of the court’s ruling, members rushed to Trump’s defense and made clear they would continue to pledge their allegiance to a convicted felon.

Shawn Hogan, former Steuben County Democratic Chairman and former mayor of Hornell, had this to say about Donald Trump formally endorsing NY-23 Congressman Nick Langworthy:

“It’s nice to see how hard crime is being tackled. Congressman Langworthy is pleased with the passage of a 34-time felony conviction.

Trump was convicted by a jury of his peers, but just like in elections they don’t win, there is clearly manipulation.”
