The developers of Remnant 2 has a secret ending to the main story in the The forgotten kingdom DLC which determines the fate of the friendly NPC Walt.

How do you get The forgotten kingdom‘s secret ending via Walt in Remnant 2

Walt’s secret ending is a lot like the other endings The forgotten kingdom DLC, but there is a twist at the end. To initiate Walt’s secret ending in the game, there are a few objectives that must be completed in a specific order.

While exploring the Luminous Vale, visit the bird’s nest in the eastern part of Ancient Canopy. Just stand in front of the nest and don’t touch the egg inside. This step isn’t necessary for the secret ending, but it is rewards you with a special material used for crafting weapons at the end of the storyline.

After visiting the bird’s nest, go to Walt and talk to him at the mural. Use the dialogues that help with this increase your friendship with him, but don’t exhaust them all. This must be done four times in the main story Forgotten kingdom.

After you reach the end of the quest you will come across the Cherished Fracture, a quest item requested by Lydusa to free her from her exile. Instead of taking the item directly to Lydusa in the Bloodless Throne and the original ending for the Forgotten kingdomhold it and pay Walt a visit for the last time.

Walt will be standing next to the mural in Primal Hollow. Talk to him for a moment with the cherished break to get a cutscene of him stabbing your character in the back and bringing the incomplete Cherished Fracture to Lydusa himself.

After spawning, head to the throne room to meet Lydusa, which starts a new cutscene of Lydusa killing Walt and the boss fight begins. Defeat Lydusa to complete Walt’s secret ending Remnant 2: Forgotten Kingdom DLC.

Rewards for completing the Secret Ending via Walt

Reaching the secret ending not only reveals Walt’s corrupt side, but also rewards you with the Charge of Mesmer free, a ring that Walt sold for 100,000 scraps. This is also possible with the ring go back to the bird’s nest previously found in Ancient Canopy to find the Regurgitated Spiny Sac special material used to make the Thorn (Long Gun) in Remnant 2.
